Does anyone have any current information on a seafood restaurant called Bistro Cote Mer located on Blvd Saint Germain in the 5th? I had seen several recommendations for it a while back (6 months) on trip advisor, but PageJaunes no longer has an entry for it.
I know I already asked this question a couple of weeks ago, but thought I%26#39;d try again. I had wanted to try it out as I%26#39;ll be staying nearby on rue Thenard and am a huge seafood lover.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!!

We had a wonderful meal at Fish boassonerie (spell?), rue de Seine 69. Crowd youngish, fun place.

Thanks for the recommendation. What was the general price range?

I don%26#39;t know this Bistro .May well try it next September. But I know pretty well La Langousterie on Boulevard Montparnasse. Good food, excellent service and you have 3 formules menu ranging from 20 to 40 euros. The Taratre de poissons is excellent and so is their Lobster Thermidor.

yymca6 - thanks for the suggestion. Seems like a good value. I might have to try that Lobster Thermidor!

Le BISTRO COTE MER --16 Blvd.Saint-Germain (at rue Cardinal Lemoine),75005 Metro: Cardinal Lemoine
Sorry, no current information on this restaurant other than what you%26#39;ve already discovered. The current Pages Jaunes listing for the address, now shows a listing for another restaurant, Restaurant AU SUD de NULLE PART, at the same location for at least a year or so.
But for good seafood restaurants located a bit farther west, across into the 6eme--Saint Germain des Pres, a couple of good choices are--
FISH -La Bossonnerie--69 rue de Seine (btwn. rue Jacob %26amp; Carrefour de Buci) 75006, Metro: Odéon %26amp; Mabillon--

La MÉDITERANÉE--2 Place de l%26#39; Odéon, 75006, Metro: Odéon--

A couple more to add to the mix:
Gaya Rive Gauche (near rue du Bac, technically in the 7th but just on the border of the 6th)
L%26#39;Espadon Bleu (A Jacques Cagna seafood place in the heart of St. Germain des Pres, very yummy)

Thanks KDKSAIL and Les68.
I have FISH and L%26#39;Espadon Bleu on my list of places to try and will add your other recommendations.
How necessary would you say reservations for these places are? I was hoping to maybe reserve once in Paris and have had a chance to look at menus (although I have been on both the above mentioned restaurants%26#39; website sites). Do you think I%26#39;d be out of luck if I don%26#39;t reserve but maybe try for a table early in the evening?
Thanks again for the information!

I%26#39;ve walked into L%26#39;Espadon Bleu and been seated, on weekdays and around 8 p.m.
It%26#39;s always safe to reserve if and when you can, even if you call that afternoon.
Fish is pretty popular, I%26#39;d say reserve there, but KDK might know more about it.

As noted, reservations are always the best idea...but with any of these it will be hit-or-miss for a walk-in. Except perhaps for a Friday or Saturday night, a same-day, walk-by / drop-in reservation will probably suffice.

We eat at Fish every trip and I have generally popped in at lunch time and made a dinner reservation for that evening. The exception being Friday and Saturday evenings.
