Barcelona to Beziers

Hi 4 of us would like to get from barcelona to beziers in the south of france , what are the options can we rent a car one way as we are going barging for 7 days. Can we fly return and is the train an option, where can I find all this info?......thanks Les Martens email les@unifoto.co.za

Renting a car is always an option but you will probably have to pay a hefty repatriation fee if you rent a car in Spain and drop it off in France or vv. For the best route etc. go to viamichelin.com where you can also get an idea of driving times and fuel and toll costs.

Flying is not really an option.

There are only a couple of direct trains daily between the two places, one leaving Barcelona Franca at 08:45 arriving Béziers at 12:36, the other leaving Barc%26#39;a Sants at 16:42 arriving Béziers at 20:28. Other options, and there are not many, involve at least one change and will take 5-6 hours.

You can research possible schedules at bahn.de (Yes, I know it%26#39;s the German rail site, but it is by far the easiest to use for such things...) but you will have to use renfe.es to suss out fares.
