S*x and the City filmed in Paris...

Someone asked me this question and I don%26#39;t know the answer. Does anyone here?

There is scene in an episode of S*x in the City where Carrie is meeting her Russian boyfreinds%26#39; ex wife. They are having lunch at a restaurant that is elevated with a lot of windows looking out onto what appears to be a well known museum or building. Does anyone know of this location? Is it fun place for lunch?? What is the building inthe background?? tahnks!

From a little Googling, I think it%26#39;s Kong, http://www.kong.fr/

As a side note, there%26#39;s a song from that episode that I love called %26quot;La Belle et Le Bad Boy%26quot; by MC Solaar. I finally found it to download onto my iPod but plan to buy a CD of his when I%26#39;m in Paris, since it%26#39;s very expensive to order here in the U.S.

From a blog:

Haute Eats

In addition to Joel Robuchon%26#39;s L%26#39;Atelier (5 rue de Montalembert; 33 1 42 22 56 56) - which is impossible to get into unless you make reservations months in advance, are famous, or know somebody who knows somebody - other of-the-moment boites include La Suite (40 Avenue George V; 33 1 53 57 49 49), a restaurant that converts to a nightclub around midnight, and Kong (1 rue du Pont Neuf; 33 01 40 390 900; www.kong.fr), a trendy aerie owned by fashion designer Kenzo that is already infamous for its appearance on %26quot;Sx and the City%26#39;s%26quot; swan song episode.

Perched above the Pont Neuf, Kong%26#39;s glass elevator opens on the fifth floor to reveal a sexy bar-lounge area with a trompe l%26#39;oeil %26quot;beach rocks%26quot; carpet for that Malibu-meets-Paris feel. Take the curved staircase up to the dining room, which boasts a glass atrium, greige leather banquettes, lucite chairs inlaid with photos of achingly perfect models, video screens displaying scenes of Tokyo and - watching over everything from her perch on the ceiling - a larger-than-life photo of a chinosierie-bedecked beauty. Silver table lamps with pink Hermès-patterned shades cast a rosy glow on the proceedings, ensuring that everyone looks fabulous, darling. The Franco-American cuisine is served by a waitstaff that%26#39;s as cute as the clientele.

Kong, on top of the Kenzo in the Samaritain bldg... It looks like fun to me, but I have yet to go.

It is indeed Kong. Be sure to ask for a table under the dome. There are two floors and one is not under the dome so it doesnt have the views. I havent ever been but the write up is correct, its a hyper trendy place.

Merci!

I was thinking Kong, but wasn%26#39;t sure.

It%26#39;s Kong. I%26#39;ve been there and had a really good steak. My sister was a S*x and the City Fan and wanted to eat there. If you get by the end window there is an incredible view of the Seine. It was decorated by Starck, a big name in all sorts of things. I%26#39;m not sure if it is as hot a place as it was when the filming took place. My sister loved it and seemed to think it was fun. Interesting ceiling photo of a geisha.
