boat cruise

Hi

We plan on doing a night cruise on the seine but I gotta ask, would it be too cheesy to bring in our own wine and cheese for the trip? Thanks

Hi xm

Yes - it definitely would if you are planning a dinner cruise and actually also pretty much inappropriate if you are on less formal river cruise without dinner.

I don%26#39;t know how discrete you could be with cheese, but I certaily would try the wine. Skip that, I%26#39;m more of a champagne gal for such an occasion.

thank you both for your thoughts - we%26#39;re planning on doing the plain river cruise at night - no dinner...champagne is even better...I think we%26#39;ll have our drinks before...just wanted to ask :)

I had read %26quot;somewhere%26quot; that a traveler had taken the sightseeing tour - no dinner- and they took their own picinic with them. (This was on 7/14) It sounded like a perfect solution.

Any one seen this? I would like to do it too but not if it%26#39;s not appropriate.

We vacationed last summer in France. While in Paris, we took three boat rides on the Seine; one during the day and two at night. On both evening excursions, we saw many people bring wine on board and several people even brought food as well. No one working for the boat company seemed to notice and if they did, I don’t think they cared as no one made an issue of it. As a matter of fact, you could purchase wine and plastic cups before you boarded the boat.

However, the trips we took were not dinner cruises-“BYOB” on a dinner cruse would not be a cool thing to do.
