Planning a viit to Paris in the 3rd week of July for about 4 days. Looking for a nice hotel with a family room (there are 3 of us, 2 adults and 1 child). Hotel needs to be central, close to sights and in a safe area with convenient, easy to get to travel links. It wold be a bonus if there were some nice inexpensive eateries close by that caters for a child%26#39;s fussy eating habits. Am I asking the impossible - grateful for any trecommenations and advice please?

Hi Light traveller
If you search %26quot;family room%26quot; and %26quot;triple room%26quot; or just %26quot;triple%26quot; in th search box at the top right of the forum questions you will find a lot of recent posts that could have a room that will suit you at the price you want to pay but do find a hotel that has airconditioning since you will be there in late July.

I found two good hotels on this site, click on the %26quot;Paris Hotels%26quot; on the left hand side of this screen, and start scrolling down the list and reading. They are listed in decsending order of popularity, and there are budget to high prices on the same pages... The hotels I used were in the top 150 and both I would recommend to anyone.
One was budget ( 60 euros two years ago) and one was moderate (200 euros) and both had a/c. Get a/c in July.
I contacted the hotels directly, both responded promptly and in english ( I did start in french , explaining my french was poor, then they responded in english)
Don%26#39;t worry about finding food for a %26quot; picky eater%26quot;.. Most %26quot;cafes%26quot; and %26quot;bistros%26quot; have very basic items like roast chicken, steak, and fries etc on their menus, as well as pastas .
%26quot;Restaurants%26quot; are a different classification, and you should keep in mind that depending on the age of your child , some restaurant meals will easily last two or more hours, ... perhaps not so good if child is young.
Central areas in Paris are safe, I travelled alone with my son and never felt unsafe.
Read as much as you can on these boards, you will pick up tons of very useful tips( like how to avoid long lines at sites etc.)

Thanks to you both for your advice, I will certainly check out the info you stated. I feel happier that there are many hotels that will accomodate us and will bear in mind the tip about air conditioning.
Are the metro%26#39;s and travel links easy to understand as I feel the navigation will be left to me? Thanks again.
