Dream Castle Hotel via Airport

Hi,

I wondered if anyone could help me. I just wanted to clarify how i get to the Dream Castle Hotel at Disneyland Resort Paris. I am travelling via Air France landing at Paris-Charles De Gaulle

2225 Hrs

I belive i must take a VEA shuttle / bus ? If so does this go direct to the hotel and what is the cost involved. Also do i need to book this prior to my arrival or do i simply walk to the shuttle and pay .

Appreciate your help in this matter

Just been looking on the timetable is it correct the last shuttle is around 22.10 ??

If so how do i get to the hotel. Also how much will this cost. Does anyone know how much a taxi would approx cost me ? plz advice the best method / cheapest way..

Thank you.

I%26#39;m not sure that the VEA shuttle even runs that late (perhaps on weekend nights?), but for sure it does not run late enough for your arrival.

Least expensive way to get to M-la-V would be by taking the RER (suburban light rail) through Paris from CDG to Châtelet-Les Halles on line B, then from C-Les-H to Marne-la-Vallée Chessy on Line A, i.e. you need to change trains at C-Les-H. The entire trip would take about 90 minutes and will cost around 13€ I think. The last Line A train leaves C-Les-H at 00:36 so you would need to be leaving CDG no later than about 23:30 to make this work. And you%26#39;d still have to get to the hotel though I imagine the Disney hotel shuttle must run at least until the last train arrives from Paris.

My guess is that a taxi at that hour of night would cost you at least 75€ and that is only a guess.

You might want to contact Grey Shuttle www.greyshuttle.com and get a quote from them. They have a pretty decent repuatation.

Good luck!

Thank you for reply

I have been reading and i belive there is a Bullet Train which takes around 10-15 minutes??

Is this bullet train near the Paris airport? .. I have been told the VEA shuttle doesnt run at the time i require so i need private transport.

I dont mind paying a little more to get there quicker.

|||

By %26quot;bullet train%26quot; I take it you mean the TGV, yes? (Bullet Trains are Japanese.)

Yes there are TGVs from CDG to M-la-V and I would have mentioned them but I knew that the latest scheduled train leaves CDG before 22:00 so no good to you.

If you want to investigate timetables for your return trip go to voyages-sncf.com. You might be able to find them on raileurope.co.uk. Cost is about 23€ pax IIRC. They leave from the same central area inside Terminal 2 that houses one of the RER stations. (There are two. Which one you will use should you choose this option will depend on your arrival terminal.)

|||

Thank you for reply ,

I did email about the shuttle and they said i needed to arrange private transport.

They quoted me for a private shuttle

Cost including all taxes: 125€ nett

without any VEA assistance.

This is way to much in my opinion. I have spent a lot of money alreayd and really cant afford this. Recalling i can get the light train which will take around 1 hr 30 mins. of course this will be cheaper. However my question is to catch this train as explained is it near the airport i.e on foot?

Sorry if im repeating myself im a little confused and cant afford such fee%26#39;s. Seems at the moment best bet would be a taxi... But still this will cost a lot of money.

|||

As I said there are two RER (light rail) stations within the CDG complex. Which one you should use and how you should get to it depends on the terminal your flight arrives at. So which one?

|||

rhh right got you now. Sorry :) . Im not too sure what terminal i land at i dont yet have that information. Thank you for your help . I have had a quotoe now of 82 euro via private shuttle to my hotel. Which i may just book to save the hassle. Would be nice to land sit in shuttle and away u go.

I appreciate your help. Plz do keep posting any suggestions etc it has been very helpful

|||

82 euros isn%26#39;t a bad price. Its a hard lesson learnt unfortunately.

You just assume because the flights are going and its such a large airport that there will be travel connections at the other end. Very often the airlines price these later flights more attractively too so it seems a better deal to get them.

I presume your flight back isn%26#39;t as late so you should be OK on the shuttle at that end of your trip.

|||

Yes i fly back at 21.00 hours so getting back should not be a problem. Reason i do have a later flight going to paris is due to work as i cannot take time off. However i must admit the price of flight was cheaper going later but i had no choice either way.

Yes i agree lesson learnt, My bank account is feeling very ill :( lol.

Next lesson to learn i guess will be expense of food for a nice meal. All to be expected thou ...

thank you
