We are going to join a group of friends in Paris for a couple of nights. One couple has booked into the Lancaster but we do not want to spend that much and I have found two hotels on the same street that have quite good reviews. One is the Warwick and the other is the Champs Elysees Plaza neither of which are particularly inexpensive either unfortunately. Does anyone have experience of them or have any better suggestions?
We wanted to all be around the same area even if not in the same hotels.
Thanks for your help.

You%26#39;re correct about the area. The 8th has some of the most expensive hotels. Those two hotels you named are the same ones I found that are located on the rue de Berri. How far away from your friends%26#39; hotel would you want to stay and what%26#39;s the maximum you want to pay? That would help to know.

Did you read the hotel reviews on this site...?

Yes I read the reviews on this site and they were mostly positive about both.
However, at the moment , I think there are going to be about four other couples and we wanted to be in the near vacinity of the Lancaster so we can all meet up without having to commute.
I would have liked to find something around the £100 per night including breakfast in a 4* around that area. Do you think that is possible?
If not which would you choose? The Champs Elysees Plaza is at 35 Rue de Berri and the Warwick at number 5, the Lancaster is No. 7 but are there any others that would be suitable nearby?
Thanks again for your help.

You aren%26#39;t going to find a 4* in Paris for that price, espec. not in that area. Most 4* are going for over 300Euro / night...
Here is a nice 3* going for up to 173E...

54, rue Galilée 75008
or maybe...
