I believe this is the correct name for a laundry where I can drop off my clothes to be laundered and pick them up that evening or the next day. Is that correct? We will be staying at 9, rue Princesse, 75006 and I put that word and 75006 %26amp; 75005 into the english version of Pagesjuene and got 0 answers...I looked up dry cleaners for individuals as a business and tried that and got back 3 responses, one being in the 16th. I then went over the the French version and tried teinturerie and got a lot of different choices including something called pressings and several other choices. Can some one who reads better French than I heph me with this and let me know if a drop off laundry is anywhere near 9, rue Pricesse, 75006?

Un pressing is where I take my laundry. I tried pressing, teinturier, and blanchisserie and none of it worked. Then I realized that I had the Eng. form and switched to French. Pressing came up with 18 results. Here are some that are not far from Princesse (but may not be the closest, either)
Pressing de la Rue de Seine 67 r Seine 75006 01 43 25 74 94
Pressing 91 91 r Seine 75006 PARIS 01 43 26 83 08
SOS Net Impec Blanc 31 r Cassette 75006 01 42 22 34 03

phread, Merci beaucoup! I looked for %26#39;pressings%26#39; in my dictionary and could not find a definition. The r. de Seine location is very walkable and that%26#39;s where I shall go. By the way, how is %26quot;pressings%26quot; defined?

It is a dry cleaner. Blanchisserie is the more formal word used and I do still see signs for teinturier. But in modern day spoken language, you run your errand to un pressing.
Here is a great site for all the technical terms of daily modern life that may not be in your dictionary.

Would YSL approve? By the way the new exhibit there is supposed to be quite good. %26quot;Voyages Extraordinaires.%26quot; Which may have to end up un pressing to.
