from airport to district 6

Our Family of four will arriving in Paris on 3/29/07 around noon. Which mode of transporation do you experts recommend to make the transfer from CDG to Rue St. Andre des Arts in St. Germain?

I know that are my options are: Taxi, private shuttle, Metro, airport shuttle.. Do you believe taking the Metro (RER) with luggage would be advisable or just take a Taxi and be safe?

Merci

The RER is easy, just take RER B straight to Sain Michael Notre Dame and a short walk.

For four, the taxi and train will cost about the same.

Take the taxi if you can find one with a big enough trunk, unless you arrive at a time of day when trains are quiet and empty. I have done the RER train trip to St Michel and with heavy suitcases and alll members of the party trying to keep together it can become a problem, especially where to put ones luggage and blocking access on a busy train. With four people, it makes sense to take a taxi. For example, a shuttle would cost you about 16 Euro per person and could accommoate everyone%26#39;s luggage easily but would probably add up to be the most expensive option. Check some taxi and shuttle web sites for the cost, with pre-booking. It would surely be a little cheaper than that picking a taxi up from the rank at the airport, providing the boot is big enough to accommodate four persons luggage. Carting the luggage is the thing I would be considering here primarily.
