The four of us will be visiting Paris for a week. We will be staying in district 6 St.Germain area. What are best options for buying metro tickets (What zones?)?
We want to go to the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Verssailles, Opera palais etc. This is our first trip to Paris and we are not familiar with Metros and the RER. We have been told that the nearest metro station to where we will be staying is St. michel.
What would be the best deal for us, sinlge tickets, orange tickets, carnet of 10 tickets? Pleasse help.

Salut fellow Michigander!!! In order to give you the best answer, we need to know 1) the day (Mon, Tue, etc.) you arrive in Paris; 2) If you plan to use public transportation to/from your arrival airport; 3) Besides Versailles (which you%26#39;ve mentioned), are their any other sites outside of the city you%26#39;re thinking of visiting?
Those answers will determine the zones, the type, etc., and which one might work best for you.

Thank you for the reply.
We will be arriving on Thursday in the afternoon. We will be taking a Taxi or shutle from the airport to our hotel.
So far, Versssailles is the only one we will be seeing outside of the City limit.
Please advice.
Merci
