Cheapest European city to fly into from the US?

Once again, my sister and I are going visit the UK and Europe this summer. I have several questions for our travel experts!

We plan on renting a car and traveling the various countries of Western Europe....with the Netherlands as one of those countries. Anyone know which European city will provide the cheapest flights from the US?

It would be helpful if we knew where you were flying FROM. %26quot;space%26quot; is a bit non-specific.

I would look for flights to Amsterdam, Frankfurt or London on mobissimo.com. Depending on where you are flying from Dublin might work also and there are low cost flights, both Aer Lingus and Ryanair, from Dublin to almost anywhere in Europe.

Do not overlook the possibility of flying home from a different city from the one you arrive at, e.g. flying to London and home from A%26#39;dam. Might be less expensive than back-tracking to the first city.
