Paris Visite Pass

I%26#39;m trying to find out what the advantage to this pass is?

Can anyone tell me?

Thank you.

Pixfield, I don%26#39;t think there is any unless you take advantage of the discounts at the museums. I certainly don%26#39;t presume to be an expert, far from it, but when I was planning a trip last Sept, I ignored the advice of the true experts and bought one. Well, when we got there, we figured out that we would have had to ride the Metro at least 12 times per day for the Visite pass to be more economical than buying single tickets. And that doesn%26#39;t take into account carnets or the Carte Orange (which we couldn%26#39;t buy because of the days we were in the city). All the experts told me not to do it, and they were right.

Happy,

I usually do buy the carnets, but as I was browsing the ratp.com site I saw the Paris Visite pass. After I read about it, I thought maybe I was missing something because it does not seem like a great deal.

How about this Carte Orange? What%26#39;s the deal with that?

You know, Pixfield, as I said, I am no expert. There are any number of answers to this question by people more knowledgeable than I on the subject. I do know that it requires a photo ID, the approximate size of a passport photo. You should do a search on here for the info. I do believe it%26#39;s a better deal than a Visite pass tho. Good Luck! (Oh we%26#39;re gonna miss those experts ~moan~)

The lack of the honourary title doesn%26#39;t stop them from assisting unless they choose to take their basketball and leave

Carte Orange is valid from Monday to Sunday and is around 16 euros. We used them on both of our Paris visits in 2006. Just bring a passport sized photo and they will help with the rest. They are easy and convenient.

Perhaps better than the average inquirer, you are more and better aware of the various public transportation ticket and transportation pass options available to visitors than most. You also know that the specific details of an individual visit%26#39;s proposed itinerary plays a large role in which of those several options is %26#39;..best..%26#39; suited to the purpose. So odds are, if you%26#39;ve looked at the multi-consecutive-calendar-day, PARIS VISITE and questioned it%26#39;s %26#39;..value..%26#39; to you; then odds are that those impressions and judgements are correct.

For my own part, from the details of overwhelming majority of varied, %26#39;..which is best ?..%26#39; inquiries, I%26#39;ve come to believe that the PARIS VISITE relative %26#39;..value..%26#39; is limited....and that other options (or combinations of options) usually serve %26#39;..better..%26#39;.

pixfield: if you visit the Paris Visite website and add up all the extras, it can save you a lot of money, but the trick is that you have to want to do just about all those things they offer in order to save something. It really is like getting that flyer in the mail that says %26quot;Join now and save over $400!%26quot;, and then you find out that in order to save $400 you have to spend $1000. So, if could be a real bargain if you%26#39;d planned on doing all those things it offers discounts and/or free gifts on, but otherwise, it almost never makes sense to randomly spend money that you wouldn%26#39;t have otherwise spent to save money you never really intended to save.

With all that said, I definitely encourage everyone to look at all those offers and then make a determination as to whether or not to get the pass. For some people, it does make a lot of sense. Most of the discounts are on second tickets, so people like me and you pix, who travel alone a lot, certainly don%26#39;t get any deals.

Here%26#39;s the link to all the offers:
