Hi -
My family of 5 plus 2 friends will be staying at the Marriott resort by Disney. We plan on visiting Paris at least 3 of the days, plus a day near Reims and a day in Versailles. We%26#39;re flying into Paris and then somehow getting out to the Marriott.
Sooo, should we rent a car (or a van) and cart ourselves around or depend on the trains. Also, are there small towns and restaurants out by Disney (don%26#39;t really want to eat at Disney - eaten plenty of this food in USA).
Thanks!

Just curious why you are not staying in Paris and visiting Disney rather than the reverse?
There is easy transportation to Disney from Paris (RER, cannot say from there to the Marriott), but there is not a great deal to see and do otherwise. Staying in Paris would all but eliminate the need for a van and save a lot on transportation time and cost. Keep in mind that many smaller European automobile models have very limited trunk space for luggage.
You must have very compelling reasons for wanting to stay out of town yet travel into the city for 3 days.

Yes, my very compelling reason is that I own a timeshare and traded for this property for $150 for the week. I know it%26#39;s not the most convenient for Paris, but we%26#39;re quite interested in Champagne region, and will have already spent 9 days tramping around London and Rome, so look forward to a more relaxed time.

Try www.autoeurope.com or www.kemwell.com for rental information. If I%26#39;m driving into Paris for the day I usually park someplace on the outskirts and take the Metro. This might help you plan parking:

I should normally recommend a van for 7 people but I%26#39;m unsure about parking as many of the best locations are underground - not sure about height clearances.
If you do go to Epernay, do not miss the Moet %26amp; Chandon tour; it%26#39;s quite interesting.
