I%26#39;m thinking of holidaying alone in Corsica in June for one week with my 12 and 10 year olds. Looking for village type location (can walk to cafes/restaurants) with pool and (quietish) beach. Will consider B%26amp;B, small hotel or self catering villa - just don%26#39;t want lots of crowds. Any suggestions gratefully received.

June is a fantastic time to visit, you certainly won%26#39;t need to worry about crowds. You might like to consider Algajola, in between Calvi and Ile Rousse on the north-west coast. You%26#39;ll find posts on this forum extolling the virtues of Algajola and as you%26#39;re looking for somewhere quiet it sounds like it could be just the place for you. There are a few bars and restaurants and a long, sandy beach with some watersports. There are several hotels in the village and by the beach, not too sure that there are any with pools though, but no doubt someone else will know! Also from Algajola you can take the train along the coast to Calvi and Ile Rousse. Hope this helps!
