easiet way to get from limoges to bordeaux

travelling to Limoges airport from Newcastle upon tyne airport. Need to get to St Foy Le Graned. I know I can get there from Bordeaux rail station but how to get to there in the first place?

A similar question was asked a couple of days ago - if you put %26#39;Limoges%26#39; in the search box above on the right, there are posts with links to train websites.

Enjoy your trip!

Getting from Limoges to Bordeaux is easy. Just take the traijn. There are a few direct trains but most will require a change either in PĂ©rigueux or Angoulème. Timetables and fares at voyages-sncf.com — or you may be able to use raileurope.co.uk

However, the quickest way to get to your destination may well NOT be via Bordeaux. Try doing a search at bahn.de which is the German rail site. Yes, I know you are travelling in France but the German rail site will give you the most comprehensive database, including buses, and is easier to use than the SNCF site for some searches.

Note that when searching for timetables you might need to spell the village you are going to correctly. It is STE Foy LA GRANDE, not St Foy Le Graned. Search on the bahn.de site for direct connections from Limoges to Ste. Foy and I think you will get better answers than searching for Limoges to Bordeaux connections and then onward connections to Ste Foy on the SNCF site.

You%26#39;re welcome. Give us another shout if you%26#39;re still having problems figuring this out. It%26#39;s actually not the easiest trip to find a good routing for. If you do need more help let us know when your flight will be arriving in Limoges.

BTW you could always rent a car...
