I tried to reserve two tix through the SNCF website for a trip on the Artesia night train from Paris to Florence but was never given the option to print out the tix. Therefore, I called directly as I noted in other forums and received quite a hefty discount rather than ordering through RailEurope. (About a 25% savings!)
However what suprised me was that they offered to have the ticket sent by express mail to my address here in the US. They told me that it should arrive within 7 days. I had thought that the only option was picking up the tickets at a train station but I%26#39;m glad to know I can avoid the extra errand while I%26#39;m visiting Paris!

That%26#39;s amazing, SantaBarbarian, that they would offer to mail it to you. I ordered mine for March 28th back on Jan. 28th by calling the English-speaking number, and I was able to get a very good price for a 1st class 4-couchette, but we have to pick up our tickets when we arrive in Paris. Oh, well, at least I have them. Good for you!!

Ooops, I made a misstatement there. I ordered ours on Dec. 28th, which was the 90 days prior to our trip. I think that%26#39;s why I got such a good rate.

What was strange was that I didn%26#39;t even ask for them to be mailed. She stated that it would be sent to my address and I asked what the other options were (hoping that maybe I could print them out). She said I coud pick them up at a station and I decided to just get the tix sooner than later!

Yes they do offer to send via mail over the phone. Just one way to do it if you cant print the tickets at home. Is very handy.
