New Michelin Paris Green Guide

Michelin published a new Green Guide for Paris in December of 2006. It%26#39;s the 5th edition, and I hope as good if not better than the earlier editions.

I want it! Now!

But no one here in the states has it at the moment, including Amazon. I leave for Paris very soon, and would like to look for it in Paris, as it could be there before arriving stateside... yes?

Does anyone know what would be a good librairie(s) that would have a high probility of having the new edition?

Lee is right the FNAC does have it in stock, you can order on the web. Just search under the tab livres %26quot;guide vert paris%26quot; the price is 14,63 Euros.

Of course, in Paris it will be in French.... For the best selection of Eng. Lang. city guides, check out Brentanos near the Opera or WHSmith on the rue de Rivoli.

Thanks Phread, the WHSmith looks like they, if anyone, would have it - plus, I see it%26#39;s near the infamous Angelina%26#39;s, so somewhere to ponder my purchase...!

I just came back from Paris, and noticed the French version in Monoprix.

Might there be a difference of substance between the French and English editions...? Or simply a translation?

There are substance differences. The english version lags behind the french one. The French one is updated every year. You can also go to the Michelin store near the opera. They will have both the english and french versions.
