gounod hotel

I am looking for peoples views about staying in the gounod for four days in march? Is it a decent 3 star to stay in?

Is it the area next to the train station? I am not sure it%26#39;s very refined, but better ask the experts.

It is close to Victor Hugo Bld, a definitely pretty street to walk on. At the same time it is about 5-20 minutes walk to the train station without being in the really close area of the train station. The Gounod and the Splendid Hotel are VERY nicely located.

I have stayed at both the Gounod and Splendid hotels. Both very nice. Gounod is more basic and Splendid quite luxurious. Rooftop pool and bar in Splendid is quite lovely but you get to use it if you stay at the Gounod too (its next door). Both good hotels.

Good location away from all the busy tourist areas but only a short 10 min walk from everything
