Hey Faux - Bali

Hey Faux, Bonjour luv how are you, and how was your trip as well.

Caught me in the Bali forum, was a surprise and just now saw your note to me. Looking at going over to Ubud for 3 nights in April again so just doing a touch of research - as one does.

Yes, I have been a little bit naughty in not doing a review from my fantastic trip to Paris (last July, how fast time goes). You certainly did recommend a sensational place for me to stay at - Hotel de Nice, I loved it, the decor and my %26quot;little balcony%26quot; only that on both visits there the air con had broken down, otherwise just adored the location.

Did not do all the things I wanted unfortunately, I did walk from the Hotel to the Eiffel Tower, got lost (I could see it in the distance but how to get there), was quite an adventure (2.5 hours walk) was great. The queue was enormous so took the obligatory photos and had one taken of me by some other tourists, just did not have the time to wait 3 hours to go up the tower. Caught the Batobus to the Louvre which was closed the day I went, thoroughly enjoyed Notre

Dam and had lunch across from the rose window, shopped at the sales on the way back - boy was I one lucky gal with all my fabulous new frocks at a bargain price. Yes!!

Both times departing CDG was absolute chaos even though I got there 3.5 hours earlier than my flight leaving, still had to queue for hours, must admit I was getting a little worried especially since my baggage was 28kg and I already had paid excess from Krakow to Paris on LOT airlines. Singapore Air are great and I was not charged anymore for their leg of the journey.

How about your trip, do tell, or have you been efficient and done up a proper travel review, I shall have to have a look.

Hi BJ, It is great to hear from you again. It is great that your two visits were so enjoyable and I hope your visit to Poland was all you were hoping for too. I wish I could find time to go there too - when I win the lottery and have lots of time to travel?? I wish.

I have never been to Bali but Ubud sounds as if it is away from the areas of the past bombings and I have heard it is beautiful.

I am glad that you liked the Hotel de Nice as I am very fond of it too. Sorry about the A/C as I think it had just been installed at that time and was probably having teething problems. I will have to stay there again for at least a couple of days on my next trip, even if I decide to take a flat for most of it - my experience in the flat in the 5th was very good.

This is the thread that you could call my trip report and I hope you find it interesting

Great to hear from you aswell Faux

I will have a look at your %26quot;review%26quot; tonight.

Poland was sensational and so was Slovakia, had the best time meeting many of my father%26#39;s relatives for the first time since I found them 6 months earlier over the net - long story. Paris was wonderful as an entree prior to the meeting and a dessert afterwards to ponder my wonderfully colourful family history. Was ideal.
