FYI, There is now a new all Business class flight service fromNewark to Orly comparable to similar air service to London. The airline is L%26quot;Avion and the website is www.lavion.com They are running a promotion through the end of March ( flights must be completed by 3/31) at $999 round trip all taxes included. I like the fact that planes arrive and depart Orly. I am also assuming that after the promotion the rates will go up but the similar flights to London are around $1200 Business class.

Now here%26#39;s something that%26#39;s odd...
I just checked for the lowest available EWR-CDG-EWR fares for AIR FRANCE ($,214 r.t) and CONTINENTAL ($1,040) for standard Coach and the fare from L%26#39;AVION was only $1,299 for the same ten day, mid-week flight itinerary EWR-ORY-EWR for the last week of June through the first week of July (most definitely the %26#39;heart %26#39; of %26#39;..high-summer season..%26#39; for trans-Atlantic air travel), for their all-business class service. It would seem that though AF and CO might possibly offfer lower fares and L%26#39;Avion%26#39;s fares might (quite probably) increase over time....but the differences at the moment (relative to the class of service) aren%26#39;t nearly as much as one might expect
|||
That was my feeling. If the difference is minimal, why not go in comfort. As I said before, I also like the idea of flying into and out of Orly rather than CDG.

%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;If the difference is minimal%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;
Therein lies the rub. Depending on the season of the year and any sales,specials or promotions the regular air carriers may offer; the difference may not be minimal...multiplied by the number of travelers. But the good news even then may be that a %26#39;..budget..%26#39; carrier (even business class-only) may influence the regular carriers%26#39; Coach pricing for the NYC-PAR route.

has anyone used l%26#39;avion yet? i would to hear some feedback about the experience before booking....
thanks

I will be on L%26#39;avion on the 5th and returning on the 18th. Will provide updates after arrival.
