Bonjour tout le monde!
I%26#39;m planning to spend a few days in Paris and go see Muse play at Parc des Princes in June, and I%26#39;m facing a dilemma over where to stay.
My maximum budget for the room is about £120 -£140 for two nights, and having read lots of negative reviews on most of the hotels in the immediate vicinity of the stadium (Hotel Exelmans, Hotel Murat etc) I%26#39;m thinking of staying somewhere more central instead.
Not too keen on the idea of an excessively long Metro journey back from the stadium by myself late at night though (as used to the London Underground as I am!) so I%26#39;m just looking a few pointers to somewhere round the 6th-8th or southern 17th arrondissement to help me narrow down my choices.
Thanks in advance

There really isn%26#39;t any good reason to stay ay a hotel out at the western edge of the 16eme to be near to Parc des Princes. You really needn%26#39;t have concerns about riding the Metro. The nearest Metro station to the stadium will be PORTE de SAINT CLOUD on the #9-- Mairie de Montreuil / Pont de Sèvres Metro ligne. If you wanted to simplfy your %26#39;commutes%26#39; to and from the stadium...you could search for hotels with easy access to the Metro stations along the #9 ligne. As an example, the travel time from REPUBLIQUE to PORTE de SAINT CLOUD (crossing a large portion of the city is ony 14 mins...with train frequency anywhere from 2 mins. to 8 mins. between trains (dependin on day of the weelk and time)

Will it be easy to catch a train after the concert, given the number of people attending ?

I have been to both gigs and rugby matches at the Parc and there really is no more hassle getting transport away than there is on the first day of the sales or certain lines at rush hour.
Once you know where you%26#39;re staying I suggest making use of the RATP (Paris transport website) to work out your best route to the stadium and back.
Go to this page www.ratp.com click on the %26quot;international passengers%26quot; tab at the top right of the page, then use the itinerary function from the menu on the left of the next screen.
