I%26#39;ll be going to Paris for a month or so starting the middle of next week. I%26#39;ll be staying in zone 1 but working in zone 4. What would the metro fare be to ride from Champ de mars to Noisy champs? I will be arriving mid week so for the 1st few days I%26#39;ll either want to buy individual tickets each day, or use daily passes until the following Monday when I%26#39;ll go ahead and pick up a carte orange for the week that covers zones 1-4. I want to know what the most economical way is for me to get transport between zones 1-4 for the 1st Wed thru Sat when I arrive. Thanks.

Have you checked the web site? Http://www.ratp.com
All metro pricing is listed there.
But it seems to me your best option will be getting individual tickets for those four days, if you are just going there and back.

I did look at the website but sadly I don%26#39;t read French any better than I speak it. I think i saw there that it would be 3.45 each way between zone 1-4, or 6.90 a day should I only go out there once a day using individual tickets. It looked like a day pass was 9.15 for zones 1-4. I guess if I was making the trip more than once a day i might go for that option. I was hoping 1 of the Paris experts could clear it up for me. Thanks for your reply and suggestion.

Looks like it%26#39;s 3.45 euros one way from Paris to Noisy Champs. 27.60 euros for a carnet of 10 tickets for that trip.
A Mobilis ticket (good all day for zones 1-4) is 9.15 euros.
So if you are going there and back only during those 4 days, the price would be 6.90 per round trip.
If you plan to use the ticket to get around paris during those days as well, you might want to go with the Mobilis.
But the most economical for the few days, only to work and back, would be the individual tickets.

reh2775: What are your exact dates? It may make more sense for you to purchase the MENSUEL instead of the HEBDO Carte Orange, but maybe not if you%26#39;re staying past February. You mention the first Wed thru Sat...does this mean you would be going to your work location those four days? How many round trips would you be making? Four trips is 27,90€, but a CO for that week, still available on the Wed you arrive is only 26,30€.
Three weeks of a weekly CO would be 78,90€. A Mensuel CO for the month of February would be 86,10€, but would give you an additional 3 days past the weekly passes. If you%26#39;re staying past the end of the month, you would have to determine what you wanted to do on that Wednesday. In the end, give or take a few €uros, it may all come out pretty close to the same, except that if you purchase the Mensuel, you%26#39;ll only have to buy one pass.
If you give all the details you can, we can help you do the math and get the best, most convenient pass.

Thanks for the info. My exact dates are: Wed Feb 6 - Thur Feb 22. Then again in Paris Mon Feb 26 - Thur March 8. Ill probably have to go out to zone 4 and back to zone 1 for work once a day, Mon-Sat.

OK. Will you go to your work on Wed, your arrival day, Thursdays your ultimate departure day? I don%26#39;t know how concerned you are with 5-10€ on way or the other, but those details might make a little difference.
In a nutshell, however, it looks like you have a total of 5 full or partial weeks that you would be traveling to work. 5 separate weekly (Hebdo) Carte Orange tickets will 131,50€. A monthly Carte Orange (Mensuel) for February, would be 86,10€, the one week in March would be 26,30€ and you would have 3 trips on March 1, 2, %26amp; 3 that you would have to pay for. Those would be 20,70€, for a grand total of 133,10€....virtually no difference from the weekly CO%26#39;s. The greatest advantage being that you can buy one pass on your arrival on Wednesday, and not have to buy one again until the end of the month. Once you make 4 round trips in a week, it becomes more cost effective to purchase the Carte Orange Hebdo tickets. Which is the reason I ask about going to work on those arrival and departure days you mention. If, for instance, on your first week you plan to only travel back and forth to work on the Thu, Fri %26amp; Sat, it%26#39;s cheaper to buy individual tickets, or even a Carnet of 10 to use on all the days throughout your stay that you would otherwise not have a pass.
So....you have a few options. Getting as specific as you can may save you 5-10€, and if that%26#39;s important to you, I would pin down those exact dates a little more. If not, go the easiest route, and purchase the Carte Orange Mensuel on your day of arrival, and forget about everything until the end of the month. The added benefit to that is that you%26#39;ll have unlimited travel on all public transportation in those Zones, so traveling around Paris when you%26#39;re not working will be a free added bonus.

Thank you arrow. I will go ahead and buy the carte orange mensuel when I arrive. That way I don%26#39;t have to get anything else until March 1. Then I%26#39;ll buy daily tickets for the 1st-3rd and then pick up a weekly carte orange to take me out till March 8. Your advice was very clear and excellent. Thanks again.
