Ryanair question and alternatives

I am traveling to Pariis with my family in June and will be moving on to Venice for the second half of our vacation. The cheapeat way to travel, by a substantial margin, seems to be a Ryanair flight from Beauvais Airport. A few questions--any thoughts on Ryanair in general? Good, bad, avoid at all cost, etc.? Any issues getting to Beauvais from Central Paris? And finally, any suggested alternatives to getting to Venice? Please note that we are taking a cruise from Venice, so a leisurely train ride is probably not an option. Thanks for your input.

They get you on time and for little money from one far-off airport to another. That%26#39;s all you can expect. WYPIWYG :-)

A night train? Or look at other budget airlines from Paris to Venice at www.whichbudget.com

Maybe you can avoid Beauvais and Treviso this way.

%26gt; Please note that we are taking a cruise from Venice,

I hear on this forum that people going on cruises have enormous amounts of luggage with them, so Ryanair with it%26#39;s luggage restriction of 10 or 15 kg will pose a big problem to you if you are in this group.

I%26#39;ve never had a problem with Ryan-Air. Delayed once but that was EasyJet%26#39;s fault.

You can have a total of 25Kg luggage per person. Note that ther%26#39;s a lot of if%26#39;s about luggage so read their rules carefully.

If a flight is cancelled they are happy to book you on the next available Ryan-Air flight, but that could take days.As said before you get what you pay for and nothing more.Ryan-air leaves all backup-plans to you so unless you go to venice with time to spare maybe another company is the choice for you.

Getting to and from Ryan%26#39;s airports are easy but eats up a bit of the profit, nevertheless it%26#39;s still cheap.

Thank you both. I went to the whichbudget website, and MyAir also flies from Orly to Marco Polo. Any difference between that airline and Ryanair in terms of reliability or reputation? Thanks.

Hi there,

My wife and I took that exact flight (ryanair from Beauvais Airport to treviso/venice) and it was perfect. The best was to get to Beauvais Airport is by shuttle. it will pick you up at the Porte Maillot bus depot. All you have to do is be there at least 2.5 hours before your flight. Probably half of the flight will be waiting there with you, so you won%26#39;t get lost or miss anything. It was flawless, and I wouldn%26#39;t do it any other way.
