Apartment rental, hotel or Aparthotel?

I´m traveling to Paris with my 16 year old daughter next May. I´m searching for options to stay because we are going on a tight budget. After a long research on the internet I´ve come with three options, so I would like to know about your experiencies with any of these:

1 ) Renting an apartment from Vacation in Paris: I´ve read a lot of good reviews about them and only a very bad one from Cosmogrl

2) Staying in an aparthotel. I foun Residhome Pantin very nice but I can´t find any reviews about them, has anyone stayed there?

3) Hotel Wilson in Asnieres. I´ve also read good reviews about this hotel but it´s a little bit far from the center of Paris. On the other hand it´s very affordable and is the only one that offers free breakfast.

I hope your comments can help me make the right decision.

Thanks

I found the vacationinparis people very nice to work with for our upcoming trip in May. I was surprised at how many of their apartments were already booked by the 1st of Jan for mid May travel.

I agree w/ previous poster. I have rented through vacationinparis at least four times, all with great success. I especially like that their security deposit is a flat $300 regardless of the rental price. And if they only got one negative review, you probably ought to disregard it. I think that their apartment prices are considerably less than other sites I%26#39;ve looked at. Every apt I%26#39;ve stayed at is in a lovely neighborhood, is clean and well maintained. A rep is always available too. So go for it and enjoy!

I used Vacation in Paris for a five night rental over Christmas. The flat was beautiful, in a fantastic neighbourhood, and the rep was really helpful when we had a couple of (minor) problems. I would definitely use them again. The prices are just slightly more than what you would pay for a budget hotel, but then again budget hotels can be a bit small and grimy, and the flat I rented through Vacation in Paris was spotless and well kept, and had tons of charm.

Plus - if you%26#39;re on a tight budget you can save loads of money by shopping for food and wine at the local markets and eating one or two meals in your flat. Unless you absolutely hate cooking it will probably be one of the highlights of your trip! My flat was around the corner from the Rue Mouffetard street market, and it was such a treat to pop out for bread and croissants in the morning, and shop for cheese and pate and champagne for our dinner!

I lost the first message I was writing so hope this is not a double post.

We are going to Paris for 12 days in March. We rented from VIP so happy to hear all the good feedback.

Question for Entel%26gt; It sounds like we may have rented the same studio as you. In the 5th %26quot;Coin Pardis%26quot; Rue Censier right off Mouffetard. If so can you give us feedback as far as Laundry or Internet close by and any other information or tips on the studio

Thanks to everyone for the great feedback on the forum.

Hello BASandy,

I think hotel Wilson is a good choice.

Good luck!
