We arrive on Sunday (10am to CDG)..I know we will nap shortly after arriving to our apartment...(Rue Madame in the 6th, close to St Sulpice Metro). I would love evening/late night suggestions for Sunday close to home. Thanks for any advise. m

Our %26#39;..routine..%26#39; on day of arrival is usually to take it slow and dispense with travel minutia---purchasing transportation passes/tickets, getting copies of the RATP%26#39;s free %26#39;..PARIS-GRAND PLAN...Lignes et Rues..%26#39; public transportation map (an indispensable %26#39;tool%26#39;), museum passes, post cards, stamps, finding the neighborhood ATM%26#39;s, leisurely light lunch, meandering about the neighborhood(s), earlier than usual light dinner, earlier than usual night (we don%26#39;t nap). You may find most larger supermarchés closed on Sundays...but some smaller neighborhood markets may be open to get in some basic staples to get you through coffee or breakfast in the morning.
And if you%26#39;re really feeling adventurous, try this--

A stroll through Luxembourg gardens is what most your neighbors will be enjoying in the late afternoon, if it is nice out.
I really need to walk after that post flight map, so I usually head towards the Seine. Berthillon is a big motivator for the kids and just about the right distance for a jetlag combating stroll.
Along the way, the rue de Buci area has a few shops, including a book store that is nice to browse through on a Sunday.
After that, you will need dinner. Lots of places are open on Sunday, but less than usual, so if you are not willing to just stumble into something (crepes on the rue St Andre des Arts, anyone?) you do need to figure that one out. A simple green bean salad at Cafe Flore is one of my post-flight standards.
