Salut,
I%26#39;m planning my second trip to Paris and I%26#39;m undecided about these two areas: I have stayed previously in the Marais/Bastille area in the Ibis Bastille, not too bad, excellent location, loved the area, but Montmartre is a special place...So I%26#39;m on the hunt for a Montmartre hotel (way up there) with a good relation price/quality/location, 120 € /night being a sort of a budget. I%26#39;ve looked at the Roma Sacre Coeur, Timhotel Montmartre, mmmm, don%26#39;t know, what do you say?
Merci Bien

I have had a number of really positive experiences at the Hotel Utrillo in Montmartre. It is inexpensive and the staff are really nice. They have a really nice room on the top floor (#62) that has a large bath and is very spacious. It is a triple room but one person can also stay in it for about (I think?) 85 euros a night. It is five minutes to either metro Abbesses or Metro Blanche. If you contact the Hotel Utrillo, Gabrielle, Hind or Sam can all help you.

How long are you staying? If it%26#39;s 7 days or more, you might consider an apartment. I rented one last year from a company that was just excellent, and they have 3 or 4 apartments in the area. The one I rented was at the base of the Sacre Coeur for 900€ per week, but they have 1 bedrooms around 700€ per week in Montmartre and the Marais.

I have rented from Gail before and she%26#39;s great.

I%26#39;m only staying for four nights, so an apartment, especially at those prices is out of the question, but thanks for the sugestion. Has anybody else stayed in the Roma Sacre Coeur, Timhotel Monmartre or has any other hotel sugestions?
Merci

I am going back to Paris for the 3rd time the end of this month, I am staying in the timhotel montmartre for the second time. i love this hotel, it%26#39;s full of Parisian charm and exactly what i was looking for.....clean, comfortable, not much noise at night and a great place to start exploring the city from., overlooking a lovely courtyard and within walking distance to the sacre couer and the place du tertre. nearest metro is also just a walk down the hill! i would highly recommend this hotel :-)
